One of the most unique directories on the web. The categories on the homepage are actually branches on the tree. Well thought out and detailed categories. The site has been a directory since the summer of 2007. A listing in this directory is well worth the price. |

A well respected 4-5 year old directory. The design
allows PageRank to flow down freely to the categories. I was ready
to rank this site very high but except that I found some downsides
Your title can only contain your business name, which can significantly
reduce the SEO value of the listing. The edits are onerous and if you
don't pass them you have to re-enter your information from scratch.
The site also has a lot of external ads on every page which will decrease
it's SEO value. Deep links are available for $20. Read the instructions
carefully before attempting to submit. |

A well-established site that has been around as a directory since 2006. Listings have your link text within the description of your site, which should provide good SEO benefits. The website ranks well lin Google. The Google cache date is very recent. Their basic listings provide 2 additional deep links. You must update it at least once a year to keep your listing permanent. They send you an email with a convenient link. Whenever you update your listing it moves to the top of the category. I am a bit curious why there are almost no listings in most categories. |

These guys seem to be listening to my preaching as their site promotes the fact that they are using a unique IP address with many unique categories and subcategories. Their subcategories have good unique titles and meta keywords. They would rank higher in this list if they also had unique meta descriptions.

since 1999 and the site has been a directory since 2001. There is a
risk that the dynamic search parameters of the deep categories don't
get picked up but the ones I checked were indexed by Google. Paid submissions
are added instantly. Non-commercial sites are listed for free. Their
cost is actually $5 per category. |
