 These guys seem to be listening to my preaching as their site promotes the fact that they are using a unique IP address with many unique categories and subcategories. They have consistently approved our submissions between November 2008 and November 2009. Their subcategories have good unique titles and meta keywords. They would rank higher in this list if they also had unique meta descriptions.

 A well categorized site that has been around since the year 2000. I like the clean, fast, no nonsense approach. They have recently added a "no follow" attribute to many of their subcategories. Some categories may even gain from the attribute but not all. ***

A unique site that has been around since at least May 2007. The directory uses an algorithm to automatically approve some submissions. The rest are reviewed manually? Submissions are painless as you only have to enter your URL. According to the site they have 7197057 links as of January 2009. They have 7200319 links as of June 2009. That is a lot of links.

 Approved our free submissions in October and November 2008. Aprpoved multiple submissions in January, February, March and May 2009. Registration is required but once you do the quick registration the submission process is quite fast and painless.
June 21, 09 - Site is down.
June 26, 09 - Site is still down.

 Viesearch has been a general directory since May of 2006. Since that time they have been continuously adding submissions and now have over 12,000 listings. Recently, they have added our free submissions between Oct 2008 and April 2009. I don't know why but they do not accept submissions from co.uk sites.
Update: Aug - Oct 2009 - I have been bombarded by a lucidcrous amount of emails from these guys in the last month and have thus lowered their rankings. Use a throw-away email address. 		***

 This directory has been around since June 2007. Their traffic is pretty good. They are actively adding new submissions. They approved our free submissions in both March and April of 2008.
Jan 4, 2010 - They have recently moved the directory from esgsite.com to directory.esgsite.com. The domain was previously PR2. 		***
